Today marks the launch of the imo Application Platform. If you have played such games as Go, Sudoku or Hangman on imo.im, you have probably already seen our API in action. Now we are opening it up so that you can build your own collaborative applications and games.
What can you do with the imo Platform?
Once you have built an app, you have the option to submit your app to imo for approval. Approved games will be made available on imo.im to millions of users.
Build apps using any client-side technology, including HTML5, javascript, CSS, flash and anything else supported by modern browsers and mobile devices.
What does the platform provide?
The platform is a simple, yet powerful real-time communication framework designed for collaborative apps and games. We'll even host your applications for you.
When you use the imo API, your applications will run in the cloud using the same technology that powers our site. You do not need a server of your own.
How to get started
All you need to get started is basic knowledge of HTML and Javascript.
For more information, please visit imo.im/developers.
If you have questions or feedback, please contact us.
